Accommodation in Bantry Bay is generally of a luxury nature. It is an up market, wind free suburb on the Atlantic Seaboard of Cape Town, South Africa. The sheltered location, nestled below Lions Head, is valued for the protection provided from the Cape winds. Camps bay (a neighbouring suburb, while beautiful, does get buffeted by the winds!)
Walking around
Walk down to Victoria Road, turn left and a few minutes later you will be looking down at the Clifton beaches – ; turn right and continue down to beach road and then on to the promenade and the swimming pools.
For the energetic, a walk around Lions Head mountain is also possible, by heading up the hill and wending your way leftish.
The Waterfront and cable car access to Table Mountain are less than a 10 minute journey by car.
Getting here:
From the Airport, take N2 to the city of Cape Town, then directions to Seapoint (M6).
From the city, take Western Boulevard (M6) which leads into Beach Road (still M6) to Seapoint. At the end of Beach Road you will get to a traffic circle, go up the hill towards mountain into Queens Road.
Turn right into Victoria Road. Then left into Fir Ave and right into Rochester Road. (or take the next road straight up to Jocyn Court. The parking bay is right at the security gate.
